Mr Manjit Singh BSc (ECONS) senior immigration caseworker, OISC Level 3 qualified solicitor but not practicing as a solicitor with One Immigration Ltd, which is an OISC regulated firm.
Manjit has been specialising in immigration and nationality matters since the 1980s. He has been employed by law centres, the Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit and immigration practices that specialise in immigration and nationality law as a senior immigration caseworker between 1990 – 1992, including being the head of the immigration department at one of the largest immigration and nationality practices in the Midlands. For a while he was on the law society’s immigration and nationality subcommittee and was an earl trustee of the Electronic Immigration Network. He has also lectured on Immigration and Nationality topics.
Manjit’s casework includes personal immigration cases – admission of family members under UK and EEA law, preventing removal/deportation of persons in the UK, British citizenship applications, advocacy before the Immigration and Asylum chamber.
Manjit also has experience in commercial immigration matters: representatives of overseas companies and applications for sponsorship licenses. In nationality matters, Manjit has acquired substantial experience and knowledge of applications for UK citizenship and passports, especially cases from UK nationals from countries in Africa and the Caribbean which became independent from the 1960’s.
