In late April we made an application for a client on form FLR (FP) family life as a partner and parent. We made the application online and within a week it has been acknowledged and the Home Office state that we can now email supporting documents to them. They will accept a photograph of the documents on a mobile device and attached photographs to the email or documents can be scanned and attached to an email. They have given an email address and also state that if the supporting documents cannot be emailed they can be posted to the Home Office in Sheffield. I have deliberately not given the full address in this blog in case the address differs for other applicants. If sent by post it is recommended that it is sent by Special Delivery/Signed For post. An applicant’s identification document i.e. passport cannot be copied and also needs to be posted to the Sheffield address. It appears the Home Office are coming back on track and have adapted their work and practices to accommodate the current situation.

We have now received decisions from the Home Office on applications by email. If you have made an application please check your emails regularly, update the Home Office by completing online form – and check your junk mail. A refusal of an application may attract a right to appeal and there are strict deadlines for appeal.
